When it comes to your personal information, we will never sell your personal information to anyone. We will never ask you for your personal information unless we need it to provide or improve the services offered through this site such as booking a trip or communicating with you. We will never share your personal information unless you have specifically allowed us to.

This Policy outlines how we collect, use, communicate and disclose, and make use of personal information as follows:

When you use our site we collect the following information, and use it only in the ways described below:

We use your personal information provided through this site in ways that you would already expect. For example:

When you book a trip with us, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, postal code and email address.

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

We use technologies such as cookies to do things such as remember your preferences, keep you safe and improve and promote our website.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our services, new trips and other company updates.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction or verify your credit card, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our email marketing communications, contacting us at or mailing us at: Comuna Travel Inc., 1206 20 Ave SE, Calgary, AB, T2G1M8, Canada

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Use.

Our web site is hosted on Squarespace Inc. They provide us with the CMS and online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

When you initially provide or update your payment information, we transmit it via an encrypted connection to our Payment Processor, Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your payment information in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We don’t store your payment information, other than your postal code and country, which we require for billing and to comply with tax and other government regulations. Your payment is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

When you send us emails or other communications, we retain those communications and their contents so that we can communicate with you about our services. We may email you from time to time regarding: service related updates, information related to your transactions, and marketing or promotional communications. You can opt out of receiving any further marketing or promotional communications by choosing the unsubscribe option that is provided at the bottom of those communications.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide you with the services offered through our company. You can ask for your personal information to be deleted at any time by contacting us at

We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace and protected with SSL. This allows our visitors to access a constant, secure connection on every page of the site. Through SSL, you see a lock icon next to your URL in the browser, showing that your information is safe.

Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL, is a technology that secures the connection between your browser and the website you’re visiting. To verify that SSL is protecting a page, look for a URL beginning with https://, instead of http://, and a green, closed padlock icon. This allows visitors to navigate the website and submit information through a secure connection.

SSL provides three important security benefits:

  • Privacy: Encrypts the connection between the browser and web server and securely transmits information (like login credentials) to prevent unauthorized parties from eavesdropping.
  • Data integrity: Prevents unauthorized parties from altering data during transmission (like during a Form Block submission).
  • Authentication: Protects against impersonation by requiring web server proof of identity.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Use.

When you click on links on our web site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

If you would like to: access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we have about you, register a complaint, or simply want more information please contact us at or by mail at
